I drew this one back in 1991 / 1992 with the intention of publishing it in Crisp Biscuit #2 but there never was a Crisp Biscuit #2 and it has remained unpublished.  This was only the second comic strip I ever completed, after "She's Back" from Crisp Biscuit #1.  Although I am still quite happy with a lot of the artwork, I have never been happy with the story, which I more or less made up as I went along.  The pages weren't even drawn in the order that they now appear.  I think I pencilled pages 6-10 first and then had to go back and put the whole thing into some kind of order when I got to the inking and lettering stage.  All I knew when I started drawing this was that I wanted to do something about giving up smoking (which I had done a year or so before I started drawing this, although I started smoking again before I finished drawing it and never managed to give up for good until 1998).  When it didn't turn out that great, I decided to put a lot more effort into my writing on future strips.  I have completely re-lettered this strip for its appearance here.  I was going to re-write large chunks of it too but I decided that life was too short and I've ended up leaving the story more or less as it was.  One of the things that I was happy with about this strip was the character Cecelia Doom and I'm planning to do a few more stories starring Cecelia in the near future.  I actually finished drawing the first two pages of an eight page strip called "Who Is Cecelia Doom?" last week, so you should get to see more of her fairly soon.
