Littlefellas

This originally appeared in Crisp #1 and it would probably be my favourite of my own strips if it hadn’t taken me four years to finish the bloody thing. It didn’t actually take me four years to draw it, I just got seriously distracted after I wrote and started to draw it in 1993 (I lost lots of weight and suddenly found myself slightly attractive to women for the first time in my life) and never came back to finish and publish it until 1997. I also regret using so much Letratone on this strip, not least because it more than doubled in price between 1993 and 1997 and it ended up costing me a fortune. Still very happy with the story, though, and some of the art is the best I’ve ever done. Like most of the other older strips I’m putting on this site, I’ve re-lettered the whole thing on the computer to correct a few spelling mistakes and have slightly re-worded a few bits here and there. In the unlikely event that you haven’t seen the film Goodfellas, it would probably be a good idea if you watched it before reading this one.
